It’s time! Once again UNEP seeks to make the biggest global call and mobilization for action on 5 June, World Environment Day (WED). Like last year Rolling Nature is taking an initiative to raise awareness about environmental issues and call for action. The UN Environment Program announced the theme of 2015: Seven Billion Dreams. One Planet. Consume with Care. It encourages sustainable lifestyles. People are consuming far more natural resources than what the planet can sustainably provide. We humans need to ensure that we live well within planetary boundaries and do not waste our natural resources. Responsible management of the planet’s natural resources is the most promising strategy for ensuring a healthy future of planet earth.
We have launched “Green Living Campaign” this year. It aims at encouraging people for environmentally responsible behavior and activities. Rolling Nature has collaborated with IndiaTigo, (Waste Pickup Service) to celebrate environment Day! Rolling Nature and IndiaTigo encourages your recycling habits with weekly door-to-door pick up facility and cash rewards. Punekars, just need to schedule a free pick up for waste collection and get paid for waste. In addition, we will give a plant for free. This is our reward to all the responsible citizens who firmly support green living or sustainable lifestyles. Being a part of the celebrations gives all of us an opportunity to share our ideas and activities for making our world cleaner, greener, and brighter. We invite individuals and corporate organizations to join us in this campaign and make it a success.
Green Living Campaign sets an example towards a cleaner and greener India. If we as individuals do proper waste disposal and aim at recycling, it will lessen the burden on the local municipal corporations, reduce the dumping grounds areas and littering around house holds and in nearby areas. This campaign parallels some of the objectives of Swacch Bharat Mission announced by our Honorable Prime Minister, Mr. Narendra Modi.
Recycling is a key component of modern waste reduction and is the third component of the "Reduce, Reuse and Recycle" waste hierarchy. Recyclable materials include many kinds of glass, paper, metal, plastic, textiles, and electronics. Materials to be recycled are brought to a collection center or picked up from the curbside, then sorted, cleaned, and reprocessed into new materials bound for manufacturing.
Rolling Nature has been revolutionizing green thinking and generating love for Mother Nature! We will be giving free plants, what we term as green gifts as a token of appreciation to all Individuals participating in campaign. We have been encouraging green gifting as an alternate to normal gifts. A plant is a gift that grows and you can get connected to nature through it. And it comes with many advantages. Nature will keep rolling if we all wish to! Green gifting can change our perception towards gifting altogether; it encourages and inspires our future generations to have an emotion towards nature, which is fading during this superfast technological age. We ask organizations and individuals to adopt green gifting and reduce, reuse and recycle for better, cleaner, and greener tomorrow.
In 2014 celebrated World Environment Day through a plant distribution drive in Pune. We gave free plants to individuals and also employees of corporate organizations through our "Share a Plant Campaign”. It was a huge success. Like last year our celebrations will continue throughout month of June and we are declaring June, as Environment Month. We are just not into business; we believe we can set example for all, as agents of change. We believe that this year too we will be able involve people of Pune in Green Living Campaign and it will be a success too.
Come join us! Celebrate World Environment Day this 5 June! Every Year. Everywhere. Everyone. Reuse, Reduce and Recycle!
